Meet Scharrell Jackson
Scharrell Jackson is a Principal/Chief Operating Officer who joined BPM in early 2020 with over 35 years of operations, accounting and finance experience, which she utilizes to support BPM as the Firm’s Principal and Chief Operating Officer.
Scharrell leads the Firm’s Corporate Service Teams, which include Business Development, Marketing, Information Technology, Human Resources, and Administration. Her experiences span from industries such as Manufacturing and Distribution, Real Estate and Construction, Property Management, Food Services, and Professional Services, serving in roles as VP of Finance and Operations, Chief Financial and Operations Officer and Corporate Controller.
Scharrell’s passion for motivating established, and aspiring leaders do not end when she leaves the office. In addition to her many roles at BPM, outside of work, Scharrell is a dynamic speaker and owns a women’s speaker series, Leadership in Heels, where she continues to support the professional growth of women. She is a highly sought-after speaker and passionate about mentoring leaders and under-serviced youth to obtain upward mobility personally and professionally.
Scharrell received the Los Angeles African American Vanguard Award and Farmers & Merchant Bank’s Woman of Courage Award, and she was named the Orange County Business Women of the Year. She has been recognized for countless achievements and continues to serve the community and host a weekly bible study in her home.
Scharrell has a background that results in operational efficiency, human capital development, technological innovation, and business growth and scalability. Her experience leads businesses through business combinations (mergers and acquisitions), and she continues to help drive BPM’s expansion further into Southern California and other West Coast markets.
She is a purpose-driven leader. She serves on the Board of Directors for Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Orange County, Orange County Pacific Symphony, Presidents Advisory Board of Concordia University, Board of Advisors Center for Leadership, Cal State Fullerton, and the Center for Investment & Wealth Management Advisory Board. Within the Firm, Scharrell supports BPM’s Inclusion Now and is a member of the AICPA Women Inclusion Executive Committee(WIEC)!
Scharrell is also a highly sought-after dynamic and effusive speaker. Many have benefited from her message on a variety of topics such as “Leadership Without Regrets”, “The Courage Within”, “True Leaders Can Change The World”, “Image and Power”, “What it takes to Make it to the Top” and “Strut Your Stuff, Leadership in Heels”, to name a few. She is focused on creating a brand for women that represents the authentic leader. She enjoys inspiring girls and women to live the life they desire by providing tangible tips to rise to one’s highest potential. Her passion is mentoring women to obtain upward mobility and confidence, as well as, reaching underprivileged youth.
She is an active member of Saddleback Church and hosts a weekly bible study for women in her home and at work. Scharrell’s favorite past time is music, and her greatest accomplishment is raising three amazing sons as a single mom. Scharrell has served as a visiting business management instructor at Concordia University, and is a current member of the Concordia University’s President’s Advisory Council. She is also a member of the Corporate Advisory Board for the Association of Latino Professionals in Finance and Accounting (ALPFA), VisionWise Capital and serves of the Leaders of Integrity Advisory Council.
